The 193 Member States of the United Nations adopted a 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the aim of achieving them by 2030.  Progress toward these goals has been uneven, and the United Nations Communications & Technology Club (UNCTC)  has determined in order to assist the Member States move forward on SDG’s, it must incorporate partnerships with private industry to leverage the expertise and resources of the private sector to support sustainable development.

Ajay Gupta

Managing Partner

Ajay is the Founder and CEO of iRapidO.com, a global business process management company servicing global clients. Ajay has a solid track record of creating shareholder value at companies with revenues between $1M – $100M and has demonstrated success leading growth stage companies, both early and developed, as well as in turn-around situations.

For 11 years, Ajay functioned as Group CEO at Eli Global (now Global Growth LLC) – a global private investment firm. His role included P&L responsibility for a portfolio of US based businesses and providing country management to Eli’s captive operations in India. Ajay joined Eli in 2007 and collaborated with the Founder in transforming Eli from a loss-making publishing company to a highly profitable recurring revenue generating company and growing Eli’s asset base from $50M to $2B, a 40x growth in a decade. He led a team of CEOs to drive significant year-over-year growth. Acquisitions played a key part in this phenomenal growth. As a core member of the investment committee (IC) and working in concert with the General Counsel, he closed multiple buyside transactions. Additionally, he established Eli’s India operations from scratch and scaled it to 2,500 people across 7 cities. This operational consolidation and cost savings provided a major competitive advantage and played a key part in Eli’s profitable growth.

Prior to Eli, He worked with leading Global companies including Agilent Technologies, GE, Honda Cars, and Electrolux.  Ajay is a `91 batch Mechanical Engineer with a diploma in Business Finance and MBA in Marketing. He is a member of the independent director’s club, a Charter member of TiE (The IndUS Entrepreneurs) Delhi and a former member of Vistage.com – a peer-to-peer network.

Anthony Palazzo

Principal and General Counsel

Anthony is a seasoned corporate counsel with extensive legal and regulatory experience with   publicly traded (NYSE) companies, publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs), and large private entities across the information technology sector, both domestically and internationally in over 30 countries.

Anthony served as General Counsel for Eli Global, LLC (now Global Growth LLC) where he oversaw legal operations encompassing mergers and acquisitions, risk management and compliance, intellectual property, data security, and human resources. Under his leadership, Anthony directed a team of in-house and external attorneys across 40 states and internationally.   As General Counsel from 2013 to 2018, he played a pivotal role in growing the Holding Company’s EBITDA from $300 million to $2 billion and expanding its portfolio to over 85 subsidiaries, in over a dozen different business lines and employing more than 9,000 individuals globally.

Prior to Eli Global, Anthony held senior legal and business positions including General Counsel at Trump Mortgage, an affiliate of the Trump Organization in New York City, and Legal Counsel and Director of Acquisitions for Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI), a $4 billion National REIT.   Additionally, he worked as Senior Director and Legal Counsel at Ocwen Financial (NYSE: OCN), a $5 billion Holding Company operating a hybrid mortgage / real estate finance & technology REIT.  He began his legal career as an associate bank counsel with Statewide Bancorp, N.A., a $4 billion bank holding company based in Southern New Jersey.

Currently, Anthony is Special Counsel to the United Nations Staff Recreation Council’s Communication and Technology Club, United Nations, New York.

Academically, Anthony taught for ten years as an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate,  Masters of Science program.  He was also a Clinical Specialist at the Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University.   His published work includes articles in recognized legal and business journals such as The New Jersey Law Journal, Association of Corporate Counsel, and The MANN Report.

Anthony holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and an A.B. in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College.  He graduated from The Peddie School in Hightstown NJ.

He is a CFP Board Emeritus (R) as of January 2024. He was a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) practitioner for 36 years (1985-2021). Since 1981, his specialties have been investing, financial planning and home business issues. During those 40-plus years, he has helped thousands of students and readers build wealth through 2,500+ nationwide speaking events, seminars and workshops.

Paul is one of the key speakers in many popular, long-running seminars such as “The $50 Wealth-Builder,” “Ultra-Investing with Options” and the “Home Business Goldmine” among others. Paul has been interviewed or referenced by major national media sources such as Comcast, CNN, MarketWatch, Bloomberg, Newsmax, Fox Business, Kitco.com, Futures Magazine, GoldSeek.com, Minyanville.com, FinancialSense.com and many more.

Paul was born in a communist country (Yugoslavia) and he came to the United States in 1963.  His rise from an obscure financially challenged country has been nationally noted and a source of inspiration to many.   His unique background has been affectionally acclaimed as the ”Raving Capitalist.” This background helps him understand the “big picture” so that he can provide better guidance and forecasts for his clients, students and readers. Since 2000, He has built a reputation as an accurate economics and market forecaster. Paul’s long record includes accurate forecasts for the Housing Bubble, Energy crisis, the “great recession,” the rise of precious metals and much more.

Paul emphasizes a “two-pronged” approach to wealth-building. “Passive wealth-building” which means having your money work for you (with investing / financial strategies) and “Active wealth-building” strategies such as starting your own home business or other active business part-time activity.

In 2024, he became an instructor at the College for Financial Planning to help train the next generation of CFPs.

Dr. Nicholson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance after completing his Ph.D. in Real Estate from the University of Georgia. His research interests are in the areas of Data Envelopment Analysis, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), real estate finance, gentrification and urban economics. He has several years of experience in both finance as an Institutional Bond Analyst and real estate as a Project Manager. He has publication in top journals such as the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics and professional publications such as USA Today.
